Billy Joe Shaver (born August 16, 1939, Corsicana, Texas, United States) is a Texas country music singer and songwriter. Shaver's 1973 album “Old Five and Dimers Like Me” is a classic in the outlaw country genre. With over two dozen albums spanning a 40 year career in music, he is one of a diminishing number of living country “outlaws”.
