English drummer and percussionist. He is best known for playing with the British progressive rock bands Porcupine Tree and King Crimson. His influences come from his father's jazz collection and from drummers such as Steve Gadd and Jeff Porcaro. Gavin started to work professionally in 1979. In 1983–84 he toured as a member of Renaissance.
