About
A Boston MA based band in the early to late 80's who achieved a modicum of success on the college rock circuit in their day with an alt-country americana style sound.
Fronted by Charlie Chesterman, their first vinyl appearance was on a 1984 Throbbing Lobster record label compilation, followed by a few singles, comp appearances, EPs and their two full-length LPs released on the Relativity label. Over the years they toured throughout the states, and built up a widespread following playing hundreds of gigs, including numerous stints opening for 80's club circuit regulars like Alex Chilton, The Replacements and Mojo Nixon.
They finished their lively run with a split single with The Young Fresh Fellows and their last studio outing, 1988's Moons of Jupiter produced by Jim Dickinson.
The band's lineup was included:
Charlie Chesterman -- Vocals and guitar
Stephen Fredette -- Guitar
Mac Paul Stanfield -- Bass
Randall Lee Gibson IV -- Drums
Stona Fitch -- Multi-instrumentalist
Burns Stanfield -- Piano/organ
Chesterman, who ended the group in 1990, still performs with his newer band Chaz and the Motorbikes and has a website at http://www.CharlieChesterman.com
