Priest is an electronic-based indie-pop duo comprised of singer Madeline Priest and producer David Kazyk. Their music exists somewhere between the swimming pools of California at the height of summer and the cool stylized aesthetic of a pop-noir film. The cleverly constructed mix of bold 80s influenced production, pop hooks and Priest’s enchanting vocals make them resonate in the synth-pop genre, sometimes even forging a path all their own. Formerly known as X PRIEST X, the group's 2015 debut self-titled LP is full of soaring electro-pop songs complete with lush synths and trance-enducing rhythms. The LP sees Priest continue to develop and expand on the sound that began with their 2014 'Samurai' EP.

Both releases have been enthusiastically received by fans and such notable outlets as NME, Sterogum, Pigeons and Planes, and Nylon Magazine.
